Immigration Detainee Coach, Portland, Oregon
(for the prisoner transport section of the Police Car Photos website)
This is the rear of an MC-9 used by GEO Transport to convey immigration detainees between the Portland offices of U.S. Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the Northwest Immigration Detention Center in Tacoma, Washington. There are thin, horizontal black bars across the windows; they're the same color as the window glass and disappear in the photo. GEO Group is headquartered in Texas and operates privatized prisons and detention centers across the U.S., including the ICE center in Tacoma. The photo was taken at April 9, 2009, NW Broadway and Hoyt in Portland, at the ICE office building.
