Thames Valley Police Vauxhall Omega 3.0 ltr v6
This vehicle was commissioned in 1994 and initially started life as a Vauxhall Demonstrator before being taken into the Thames Valley Fleet, for use as a Roads Policing Unit.
The equipment onboard the vehicle included a tracker receiver, vascar unit, and the standard police radio equipment found in all traffic cars.
The vehicle came out of service in around 1998 and was fully decommissioned.
In 2007 the vehicle was restored to as you see it now and was purchased by its current owner in 2008. The vehicle is used at police open days and local fetes for education purposes.
When used on the road, as it is no longer an operational vehicle, all police signs are covered, along with the lightbar on the roof. Not in service signs are also displayed.
